Such a beautiful design, Lisa. I do something similar with lily of the valley and turquoise and bali silver earrings in that over several years they've both evolved into "classic" designs for me: repeat and sell, consistently. I try to make things customisable, too -- with a loop at the bottom -- which everyone asks about. How are your sales of jewellery with copper earwires? This is my problem here. People baulk at that, fearing green ears. They'll tattoo themselves literally to the eyeballs, but green ears? Nope. I've had to come up with a sterling earwire design that incorporates a copper bead to tie back to all the copper in the earring itself.
When I first started using copper, I asked other jewelry makers about that. It happens to some people, and not to others. I have been wearing my copper earrings with moonstones for over a month (on and off) and have never turned green at all. I have several home jewelry shows coming up in the next 2 months - and honestly, I was more worried about whether people will buy the silver filled than the copper. Guess I'll find out soon! Thank you for the compliment on the earwires. I really love making them and hope they turn into the classic that yours have.
