Rectangle Ladder Necklace: $6 Jewelry Design Challenge

Ta Da

Just a quick post today, since I've finished one project from the beads I picked out yesterday.  Have I ever told you how much I hate crimp beads?

I hate crimp beads.

Here is my first project using the rectangle stone beads from yesterday. It should have been a pretty
quick and painless project - but then there were the crimp beads.  It was all done and I was adjusting the way it was laying and pulled a little too hard and POP!

I guess it's better now than later.  It wasn't very hard to redo and this time I made sure the crimps were tight before trimming the wire.

Here's a side view.  I used Soft Flex Beading Wire - not something I use as often as I should.  I like the results.  The stringing on the side is barely noticeable and the crimps actually help the necklace hang nicely. Of course, I also use crimp covers. I think you pretty much have to, especially if the crimps are in the front.

It really is the little details that matter.

Next project coming shortly. Oh - and the tutorial for this should be ready later tonight.  I'll update this post with the link when it's ready.
