Thanks for the reminder of this. I'm going to be using my crimper to make paddle pins for holiday jewelry this year. Happy dancing with you (like Snoopy in the Peanuts Christmas special).Lisa Yang Jewelryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16851061995303198057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3154120257955860216.post-59081989973309692092019-11-13T06:25:54.288-08:002019-11-13T06:25:54.288-08:00Ok - the idea of using an inexpensive crimp tool t...Ok - the idea of using an inexpensive crimp tool to make paddle pins is BBBRILLIANNTT!!!!! I always loved the paddle pin look, just couldn't quite figure out how the heck to achieve it without mashing up several wire pieces that didn't come close to matching for a pair of earrings...thanks so much for this great tip, will explore the crimper and see how much more accurate I can get.

Doing the happy dance here...Denmobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04140383967055001495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3154120257955860216.post-73754226479961721082016-06-01T08:43:25.666-07:002016-06-01T08:43:25.666-07:00It has not damaged mine but I am using a very inex...It has not damaged mine but I am using a very inexpensive crimp tool. It is around $5. I would never do this with my $35 Om Tara Crimper since that is way too important to me. Also, since I got an Om Tara Crimper, I don't use the tool for crimping anymore, so it is a great way for me to use a tool I wouldn't otherwise have a need for.Lisa Yang Jewelryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16851061995303198057noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3154120257955860216.post-75069331715097524932016-05-29T21:22:11.135-07:002016-05-29T21:22:11.135-07:00Will making paddle pins with my crimpers cause any...Will making paddle pins with my crimpers cause any damage to them that will make crimping impossible or uneven, etc?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3154120257955860216.post-52435104029852371812015-09-28T13:55:24.842-07:002015-09-28T13:55:24.842-07:00I agree - hammering them seems like a great approa...I agree - hammering them seems like a great approach, but trying to make two that match - Ugh!
